A remarkable transformation was witnessed in the health of a 34-year-old patient who presented with a history of basal ganglia hemorrhage and left-sided hemiplegia. Following the necessary treatment, the patient was referred to our Physiotherapy department. Initially, the patient exhibited severe muscle weakness, scoring 0 out of 5 on the power scale, and experienced significant difficulties with balance, coordination, and activities of daily living (ADL). However, after receiving continuous physiotherapy for a period of 10 days, during which various interventions such as Manual Exercises, Neurodevelopment therapy, Galvanic Stimulation, Tilt table for standing, Robotic device therapy, and Gait rehabilitation were employed, the patient's progress was nothing short of extraordinary. Upon discharge on the 10th day, the patient displayed a phenomenal improvement in his condition. Was able to sit, stand, and walk with moderate manual support, while his muscle power had significantly improved to a rating of 3+/5 (except in the hand and fingers). Notably, the patient's balance, sitting ability, and overall mobility had also improved, prompting a follow-up plan focused on enhancing ADL performance, achieving a correct gait pattern, and further enhancing standing balance and coordination. A would-be-mother and her husband recently traveled to Zydus Hospitals from Bhuj seeking medical help. Two obstetricians in Bhuj had given them a grim prognosis, stating that there was a risk to the life of both the mother and the baby. Hearing about Dr. Namita Shah, our Gynecologist & High-risk Pregnancy Obstetrician, they promptly sought her expertise. The patient presented with severe thrombocytopenia at full term, experiencing early labor pains. In addition, she had a history of a previous cesarean section and abnormal liver function, identified through tests recommended by Dr. Namita. Despite receiving platelet transfusions, her platelet count remained around 20,000, posing a significant risk to her life. With help from Haematologist Dr. Dilip Srinivasan, who was involved due to low platelet count, and Gastroenterologist Dr. Hardik Kotecha, who was involved due to abnormal liver function test results, the combined efforts of the OT team and Anesthesia specialists, comprehensive care was provided. Dr. Namita performed an emergency cesarean section, and a healthy baby was safely delivered under the supervision of Dr. Anita Srinivasan, our Neonatologist. Mother and child were recommended to stay in the Critical Care unit for one-day post-operation under Dr. Pratibha's and her team's observation. Tamanna, a 22-year-old girl from Mehgaon, Bhind district in Madhya Pradesh, had come to Gujarat to work in Manipur village in Sanand. Recently, as she was working, a stove burst, and she suffered from severe burns on her limbs, her chest, her back, and her hips.
