Dr. Raman Patel, a Sr. Gynaecologist IVF Specialist, Endoscopic, and Robotic Surgeon at Zydus Hospitals, exemplifies that there is no age limit for learning something new. At the age when most people retire, he learned Endoscopy surgery to honor his son's legacy. Later, after witnessing a robot at Zydus Hospitals, his curiosity drove him to learn Robotic Surgery at the age of 71. In this episode of Stories of Hope, the Sr. Gynec Surgeon who delivered the first IVF baby of North Gujarat in Feb 1998 discusses IVF's conventional techniques, landmark breakthroughs, and how IVF allows couples to have a healthy child. He also discusses the importance of egg reserve, the estrogen hormone shield in women, and dispels the misconception that women are entirely responsible for infertility by emphasizing that both males and females are responsible for infertility. Also, watch him on DD Girnar this Friday at 6:00 P.M. 24th Nov '23 describing various facets of Robotics in Gynaecology. A remarkable transformation was witnessed in the health of a 34-year-old patient who presented with a history of basal ganglia hemorrhage and left-sided hemiplegia. Following the necessary treatment, the patient was referred to our Physiotherapy department. Initially, the patient exhibited severe muscle weakness, scoring 0 out of 5 on the power scale, and experienced significant difficulties with balance, coordination, and activities of daily living (ADL). However, after receiving continuous physiotherapy for a period of 10 days, during which various interventions such as Manual Exercises, Neurodevelopment therapy, Galvanic Stimulation, Tilt table for standing, Robotic device therapy, and Gait rehabilitation were employed, the patient's progress was nothing short of extraordinary. Upon discharge on the 10th day, the patient displayed a phenomenal improvement in his condition. Was able to sit, stand, and walk with moderate manual support, while his muscle power had significantly improved to a rating of 3+/5 (except in the hand and fingers). Notably, the patient's balance, sitting ability, and overall mobility had also improved, prompting a follow-up plan focused on enhancing ADL performance, achieving a correct gait pattern, and further enhancing standing balance and coordination. Our deep appreciation goes to the exceptional Physio Team, led by Dr. Poonam Modi, Dr. Margi Pandya, Dr. Ruchi Trivedi, Dr. Krina Adhiya, Dr. Simran, and Dr. Kruti, whose remarkable contributions were instrumental in facilitating this incredible journey of recovery. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . #MiraculousRecovery #PhysiotherapyJourney #LifeAfterStroke #PhysicalRehabilitation #HealthTransformation #PatientSuccessStory #PhysiotherapyHeroes #TeamworkMakesMiracles #AdvancedRehabilitation #RoadToRecovery #EmpoweredByPhysio #StrongerEveryDay #MedicalBreakthrough #PhysicalWellness #BetterTogether #AchievingMobility #TherapyTriumph #StandAndWalkAgain #ImprovingQualityOfLife #InspiringRecovery #MedicalMarvels #RevitalizingMovement #OvercomingAdversity #UnlockingPotential #NewHopeForPatients #BeyondLimits #EmpoweringLives
